Melissa Bloomfield

Owner and Lead Wedding planner

Before founding Pretty Swell Parties, Melissa Bloomfield worked in the book publishing industry in both New York City and Atlanta. Armed with a decade of professional experience planning events ranging from launch parties to multi-city publicity tours, in-store events to private dinners, the transition to wedding world was an easy one.

Melissa has consistently been named a Wedding Wire Couple’s Choice award winner since 2013. Her work has been featured in such magazines as Southern Bride and The Celebration Society Weddings, along with numerous wedding blogs such as Style Me Pretty, Green Wedding Shoes, and 100 Layer Cake.

When she isn't working on weddings, she still keeps a hand in the world of books and authors working on events for her favorite local bookshop, Brave + Kind. Outside of work, you will likely find her on the tennis court or on an airplane with a meticulously-planned travel itinerary in hand. She also loves baking, reading, and spending time with her husband and their two young daughters.

Lead Wedding Planner

Born and raised in Atlanta, Nicole has always had a knack for southern hospitality. Whether inviting friends over for brunch, or coordinating a surprise birthday bash, she loves handling the little details involved in bringing people together to celebrate.

She first joined the wedding industry on the marketing team for a favor manufacturer where her favorite days at the office were spent coordinating events and creative photoshoots. While planning her own wedding, it came as no surprise that her love of planning extended to weddings as well. She now brings her passion for creating truly unique celebrations to Pretty Swell Parties couples.

When she's not dreaming up wedding plans, Nicole can be found baking something sweet in her kitchen, crafting, hosting friends and family, or exploring Atlanta with her husband Daniel and their two children.
